Hi everyone :-),
Looks like you found my wiki page. You are warmly welcomed! :-)
I'm Dennis. The first time I came across Fedora was about 12 years ago,
when a good friend of mine showed me his installation. Back then I used
Linux distributions mainly to play around with small home servers and
such, but stupid me wasn't "brave enough" to daily drive the penguin on
his main hardware. However, I fortunately took the change to migrate a
few years ago after my previous OS crashed badly and settled on Fedora
after my distro hopping phase.
I have an IT background and I'm currently employed in the sw dev / sw
testing sphere. But beyond that, I'm also passionate about creating and
repairing stuff. Which is why I co-founded a Repair-Cafe and a FabLab in
my hometown, including actively working in their management / steering
committees at the time. Although I'm quite an introvert, I really like
to talk to people about my "passion projects" (e.g. about our FabLab at
Maker Faire) and doing other non-technical tasks. Speaking of
repairability, I also like to hang around in the Framework Laptop
community, discussing tech and helping others.
== Activities within Fedora ==
* Translating DNF5 to German.
* Wiki Gardening (mostly in the L10N space)
(Yes, I joined the project recently, so there's only a short list of activities so far.)

Hi everyone :-),

Looks like you found my wiki page. You are warmly welcomed! :-)

I'm Dennis. The first time I came across Fedora was about 12 years ago, when a good friend of mine showed me his installation. Back then I used Linux distributions mainly to play around with small home servers and such, but stupid me wasn't "brave enough" to daily drive the penguin on his main hardware. However, I fortunately took the change to migrate a few years ago after my previous OS crashed badly and settled on Fedora after my distro hopping phase. I have an IT background and I'm currently employed in the sw dev / sw testing sphere. But beyond that, I'm also passionate about creating and repairing stuff. Which is why I co-founded a Repair-Cafe and a FabLab in my hometown, including actively working in their management / steering committees at the time. Although I'm quite an introvert, I really like to talk to people about my "passion projects" (e.g. about our FabLab at Maker Faire) and doing other non-technical tasks. Speaking of repairability, I also like to hang around in the Framework Laptop community, discussing tech and helping others.

Activities within Fedora

  • Translating DNF5 to German.
  • Wiki Gardening (mostly in the L10N space)

(Yes, I joined the project recently, so there's only a short list of activities so far.)
