Installing and Running

poker3d is available under the Fedora Community repository, and can be installed using the yum tool. To install, either use a front-end tool (like pirut) or issue the following command in a terminal as root:

This will grab the game and all its dependencies from the Internet, so you need to be connected to the Internet. After installing, you can run the program under the menu:

Games -> Card Games -> poker3d

Or press ALT+F2 on your desktop (or go to a terminal like gnome-terminal and konsole), type poker3d, and press Enter.

Configuration

poker3d will create a directory in your $HOME directory called .poker3d/. This directory contains a file called poker3d.xml which contains configuration parameters such as which server to establish a connection with.

Other configuration options may be set from the Options menu in game.

Gameplay

poker3d is automatically configured to connect to poker.pokersource.info where you will be able to create an account and start playing. Once connected, you can select the type of game you wish to play by pressing the buttons at the top of the screen from the lobby. Two types of money are available, play and custom, where custom money is usually considered to be real money, but varies from server to server.
