types of event boxes
There will be 2 types of event boxes The Small event box and the Main event box.
What the event boxes contain
= Small Event Box
- One OLPC
- One Fedora Table cloth
- Four Posters (the Four F's, will talk to design team)
- CD display object
- USB containing SVG images for Posters with a live ISO on it.
MAX Total Cost per Small Event Box = $250
= Main Event Box
- One OLPC (or Two)
- Two Fedora Table Cloths
- Four Posters (the Four F's, will talk to design team)
- MIFI mini router
- 2x CD display object
- USB containing SVG images for Posters
- Live USB
MAX Total Cost Per Main Event Box $500 (+ extra olpc is $700)
If you have the event boxes with you, and you can think of one great cost-effective way of adding to it, please do add stuff to the event box, just makesure its a reasonable weight & Size.

We want (hopefully) 1 Main Event box - $500 3 Small Event Boxes - $1000 Total spending for Boxes = $1500USD (ex shipping)

Who will hold the event boxes
Small Event Box
The lucky person who gets it orginaly will hold it until somebody requests it. Then they must ship it out, or wait for somebody to pick it up.
Large Event Box
Will move around APAC, but we will try to move it with redhat employees to save money. These boxes have been designed to use a bit more money straightup but less money in the longrun, but using lighter materials making it easier to ship.
Eg. The Mifi costs $200, but a normal router costs $80. Yet the mifi weighs ~60g, while a router can weigh 500g+ plus the charger, which can easily add another 500g!
Possible names for the event boxes
The following are possible names for the event boxes
- Asmartbox Regional, Asmartbox Main
- APACK Regional, APACK Main
- APAC
- Eventbox(tm)
Event box is a registered trademark of those North americans. xD
