North American Ambassadors are required to meet the requirements for Ambassador membership and must also complete everything in the 'Must' category. In addition we highly encourage you to complete the items in the 'Should' category. The Could Category contains items and activities you can get involved in.

Musts

  • Use Fedora
  • Create an account in FAS
  • Sign the CLA
  • Join the Fedora Ambassador mailing list
  • Have a User:username page with at least the following information:
    • City, State, Country
    • Email Address
    • IRC nick

Should

  • Have blog aggregated on Fedora Planet
  • Spend 1 hour a week on fedoraforums.org or #fedora (irc.freenode.net) helping others and acting as a liaison.
  • Attend North America Ambassador meetings
  • Add yourself to the North America Ambassadors List Ambassadors/NA/Regions
  • Get involved in an area other than the Ambassadors

Could

  • Give presentations to groups and man booths at conferences
  • Mentor new Ambassadors
  • Particiate in local Linux User Groups and other FOSS related organizations.
  • Add picture to personal wiki page so people can recognize you at events
  • Participate in #fedora IRC Channel
