Description: As adviser for Free Software for the Catalan government (Spain), Josep Gubau is actually leading and doing the government's migration to free software, and they have chosen Fedora for their distro. Spain has been a pioneer in migrating government and public administration to free software. Gnuine has used Red Hat distributions since the beginning, and continued with Fedora after Red Hat Linux 9. Gubau's team has been migrating government, local administrations, universities, and schools, and has had substantial and positive experience in planning migration to free software. This session will help attendees plan a similar process, identify typical trouble areas, and perform a migrate to Fedora.
