Detailed Description

Actually libzhuyin uses very similar code as libpinyin. After merged libzhuyin into libpinyin, it will bring some libpinyin features to libzhuyin.

Benefit to Fedora

Enhance the experience of Fedora for Chinese Zhuyin users by speeding up Zhuyin input.

  2. merge libzhuyin data into ibus-libzhuyin.
  3. retire libzhuyin package for Fedora 27.

How To Test

For gnome desktop:

  • Check whether "New Zhuyin" is listed in "Region & Language" and default IME list.
  • Try to add "New Zhuyin" to IME list, begin to use the new Zhuyin IME.

For non-gnome desktop:

  • Check whether "New Zhuyin" is listed in ibus-setup dialog and default IME list.
  • Try to add "New Zhuyin" to IME list, begin to use the new Zhuyin IME.

User Experience

  • With libpinyin 2.1, Chinese users can speed up the Zhuyin input speed by pressing less keys.
