Elections within Fedora usually take place twice a year, just before a version release. These elections are for the Board, FESCo, FamSCo, and release name. These elections will be announced in the following manner:

Announcement Procedure

  1. Approximately one week prior to the elections the FPL will make an announcement, on the Announce List, that the elections will begin in a week.
  2. At the start of the election the FPL will make an announcement, on the Announce List, that the elections has begun.
  3. With two days left in the election the FPL will make an announcement, on the Announce List, that the elections will end in forty-eight hours.
