Please post your questions below. The wrangler will collate them and pass them on to the nominees at the end of the collection period. Nominees might answer these questions as part of Community Blog interview. Candidates will be emailed a template to use for their Community Blog interview.

The following elections take place from July 2017 to August 2017:

FESCo (Engineering) (4 seats)
Fedora Council (1 seat)
Fedora Ambassadors Steering Committee (FAmSCo) (3 seats)

FESCo (Engineering)

What is your background in engineering?
Why do you want to be a member of FESCo?
Describe some of the important technical issues you foresee affecting the Fedora community. What insight do you bring to these issues?
What are three personal qualities that you feel would benefit FESCo if you are elected?
What is your strongest point as a candidate? What is your weakest point?
Currently, how do you contribute to Fedora? How does that contribution benefit the community?
What objectives or goals should FESCo focus on to help keep Fedora on the cutting edge of open source development?
If a past member of FESCo, identify a negative factor you noticed while serving in FESCo. How would you propose to improve on that for the next cycle?
Do you believe the Modularity objective is important to Fedora's success? Is there anything you wish to bring to the modularity efforts?
The Linux ecosystem of today is not the ecosystem of five years ago. Do you think Fedora should innovate further or "steady the boat" with the existing initiatives in the project? Why?
What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

What is your background in Fedora? What have you worked on and what are you doing now?
What are the most pressing issues facing Fedora today? What should we do about them?
What is your strongest point as a candidate? What is your weakest point?
What are your interests and experience outside of Fedora? What of those things will help you in this role?
What are your future plans? Is there anything you can consider a "Mission Statement" as a candidate?
What should the Council do to help improve communication and openness across Fedora sub-projects, teams, and SIGs?
What can the Council do to attract more packagers and other contributors? How should Fedora change in this regard?
What can the Council do to attract more people to non-technical roles? Does Fedora need to adapt or improve in this regard?
In what area would you most like to see improved collaboration among the Linux distributions? What would you do to help improve collaboration?

FAmSCo

What is your background in Fedora? What have you worked on and what are you doing now?
What are the most pressing issues facing the Fedora Ambassadors today? What should we do about them?

What is your strongest point as a candidate? What is your weakest point?
What are your future plans? Is there anything you can consider a "Mission Statement" as a candidate?
Is there a specific task or issue you think that FAmSCo should address this term?
Are the Ambassadors disconnected to the rest of the project? If so, what is your solution to fix the issue?
What kind of information should be exchanged between Ambassadors and other groups / sub-projects?
If a past member of FAmSCo, identify a negative factor you noticed while serving. How would you suggest improving on that for the next cycle?
The past term, FAmSCo did not have any representatives from NA or APAC. If a region isn't represented this term, how do you hope to help include and support a region without representation?
