prefdm

prefdm should be made an initscript, with dependencies to

  • login
  • netfs (home directories)
  • optional xfs

login may (dynamically) depend on:

  • network
  • local kerberos server
  • local yp services
  • ...

Comments

xfs is really not needed on a modern desktop.

Wrt. to network, the desktop team has plans to have Network'Manager available on the login screen.
