Fedora Weekly News Issue 292

Welcome to Fedora Weekly News Issue 292[1]. The FWN 292 is a teeny news stream of the first week of April 2012.

The lead development news of the week is ALL MAJOR MILESTONES of Fedora 17 Beta, and their dependent tasks, will be pushed out by one week. Beta will now be looking at an expected release of 2012-04-10, and F17 GA is now scheduled for 2012-05-15.

The most talk-able news on Trade Press and Fedora Marketing list is the reviews titled GNOME 3.4 running on Fedora 17 alpha - a welcoming desktop environment for users who liked and used GNOME 2.x, and Fedora 18 to use tmpfs by default which was recently accepted by the Fedora Engineering Steering Committee (FESCo)[2].

Recent issues of FWN are now being published to Fedora Insight[3]. Insight offers RSS features, multimedia capabilities and more, beyond the mailshot/wiki FWN you have come to know and love. Try it out, and we'd love to hear your feedback!
