* Rhythmbox upstream have no further plans to develop Rhythmbox: http://mail.gnome.org/archives/rhythmbox-devel/2009-February/msg00023.html. It should thus be considered that we switch to an alternative that can be counted on to have continued development and an active community around it. Banshee provides such an alternative.
* While this proposal should be judged on it's technical merits primarly it is suggested that upstream Rhythmbox might be facing issues continuing development (http://mail.gnome.org/archives/rhythmbox-devel/2009-February/msg00023.html).
