Usage cases/rationale, Scope and Implementation details
Many things that can be done with the current gnome-applets and gnome-panels can easily be done in gnome-do more efficiently. Gnome-do is a much more discrete way to activate, search, launch or do just about anything else. Here's a couple simple use cases.
Frank wants to instant message a buddy
- Frank wants to IM his buddy john
- Jim wants to listen to some Megadeth
- Alice wishes to shutdown her computer.
Remote controls (PS3 Blu-Ray remote)
