Allo stato attuale, quando gli utenti installano pachetti forniti di pacchetti per le lingue, essi devono installarli manulamente. L'anno scorso, in un thread su fedora-devel-list, Bill Nottingham ha inviato un post in cui spiega l'idea iniziale di questo plugin. Questa caratteristica progettuale porta avanti quell'idea e la rende attuabile per l'uso generale. (Vedere anche rfe bug).

Questa caratteristica consente anche a firefox e a thunderbird di procurarsi i pacchetti per le lingue, in maniera automatica.

Vantaggi per Fedora

Gli utenti, volendo, potranno installare i pacchetti, tradotti nella loro lingua.
