FedoraEvents - LinuxWorld Boston 2006

There will be much Fedora activity at LinuxWorld Boston 2006. Aside from the usual booth and BoF, Fedora will be running an install pavilion right on the show floor to help people through installs and get new users acquainted to Linux.

Where and When

  • LinuxWorld is now being held at the new Boston Conference and Exhibition Center on April 3 - 6, 2006.
  • The conference sessions begin a day early.
  • The show floor is open from April 4 - 6.
  • We will be holding FUDCon Boston 2006 on April 7 at Boston University.

LinuxWorld Install Fest

  • Sponsored by The Fedora Project and Pogo Linux
  • In the newly designed Linux Install Fest, attendees are invited to bring their laptops and get installation help and step-by-stepguidance through common install scenarios as well tips, tricks and hints from experienced project members.

Running Fedora Core 4 on a low power system, uses between 15 - 20 watts. This demo is showing one possible use which is a house Voice Over IP server. You can dial any Free World Dialup number. Dial 393613 for an echo test.
