A page on Fedora Fonts

Old Standard True-Type Fonts

Description

Beautiful Modern (classicist) Latin/Greek/Cyrillic font by Alexey Kryukov.

Characteristics

Homepage Format & features License Review reference Koji page pkgdb page
Old Standard OTF & TTF OFL 457947 oldstandard-sfd-fonts oldstandard-sfd-fonts

Style Faces Scripts
Sans Serif Other R B I BI Other Latin Greek Cyrillic Other
Variable Monospace Variable Monospace

Caveats

  1. Needs to be built from sources with Fedora fontforge.
  2. Needs two subpackages, one for the OTF version the other for the TTF version. ==> Just building the TTF version (prefered by the author)
  3. Needs the same fontconfig substitution rules as DejaVu/DejaVu LGC so switching from Old Standard to Old Standard TT is transparent.
  4. Upstream requested changing the font name if the font was rebuilt from source. Need to coordinate with the Debian font team.
