Description

This test case describes the scenario of reconnecting a printer


How to test

  1. Reconnect a printer that you have previously used with your computer, via USB or Bluetooth
  2. Watch how the system reacts
  3. Open an application (e.g. gedit) and print a page to the new printer

What is reasonable?
Note that we ask for you to judge whether the system behaviour is 'reasonable' or not, without prescribing the exact outcome. If some aspect of the system behaviour is surprising or confusing to you, it is probably worth pointing out.
  • Reasonable behaviours might be:
    1. Notification that a new printer is available and ready to be used
    2. It should not be necessary to configure the printer again, since the system has seen it before
    3. The new printer appears in print dialog and works
