Description

This test case checks whether Xfce Settings Manager's Appearance applet works correctly.

How to test

  1. Install Fedora (this test can apply to multiple versions of Fedora and Xfce; if you are doing this test independently, pick one you are interested in, otherwise install the ones being used in the event you are taking part in)
  2. Install Xfce: yum install @XFCE
  3. Log in to Xfce
  4. Run the Settings Manager: Fedora menu -> Settings -> Xfce 4 Settings Manager
  5. Run the Appearance applet: click Appearance
  6. On the Style tab, try switching to various styles
  7. On the Icons tab, try switching to various icon sets
  8. On the Fonts tab, try changing the default font and size
  9. On the Fonts tab, try various anti-aliasing and hinting settings
  10. On the Settings tab, try changing each option

  3. Changing fonts should work without artifacts and take effect immediately in all applications
  4. Changing font anti-aliasing and hinting settings should work and take effect immediately in all native GTK+ applications
  5. Changing the settings in the Settings tab should work as described and take effect immediately
