Hi, my name is Ruben, I'm 26 years old and I live in the Netherlands, in a beautiful town called Rijswijk.
At the moment, I work as a System Engineer for a large Dutch electricity company, spending the day fighting with Java Messages queues and ear files.

I started with Unix on FreeBSD, but since we use RedHat on the job, I switched over to Fedora.
I'm typing this on my Macbook Pro running FC-6.

== My packages ==
[http://apsis.ch/Pound Pound]  is the first package I maintain, it's a really cool and fast http loadbalancer. If you're looking for a reverse proxy and think mod_proxy is overkill, please give it a try.

My second package is [http://powerdns.com PowerDNS] , probably the fastest authorative DNS server around. It has backends for MySQL and PostgreSQL, and LDAP as well. There's also a separate recursor, but that will be another package. It's not recursive though, the recursor is packaged as a separate rpm (pdns-recursor).

Another nice tool is csync2. It enables you to sync files between your machines (it uses librsync for that). It has some nifty conflict resolving capabilities as well.

== And ... ==
Oh, by the way, I'm RHCE [http://www.redhat.com/training/certification/verify/?rhce_cert_display:certno=804006222819869&rhce_cert_display:verify_cb=Verify 804006222819869]  and working on becoming an RHCA. I recently passed the first module, Redhat Directory Server.

Feel free to mail me or MSG me on IRC. I'm graveyard or rkerkhof (kerkhof is Dutch for graveyard) on #freenode
