South East Asia Translation Challenge 2016/2017

South East Asia Translation Challenge will be a row of special Activity Day (weekend) in the region, to win new contributors for translation and create awareness for Fedora in this region.

December 2016 - January 2017 - February 2017 - March 2017 (on weekend in this time frame, decision will follow up) Ideally this should happen during open translation Windows. For languages with 0% translation status this is not a blocker.

Event Budget

at FAD Kuala Lumpur 3.000$ was assigned to this event, this is not finally it waits for the general budget approval.

Prerequisite

  • Registration App for sending only out the required shirts
    • centralized via google forms
    • start December 2016
    • registration closed February 2017
  • Packages, Website and Documentation list for translation. (Group to decide list)
  • How to Guides for new members? (Tutorial/Videos)
    • If not guide, Hangout sessions with participants.
    • This will be help to Ambassadors for organizing event locally.
  • Marketing material for Ambassadors to advertising event locally.
    • Badges for organizer, speaker and attendees, hero of translation sprint (ranking 1-10)
    • Communityblog article to animate the Ambassadors to help
    • marketing amongst the Ambassadors during FUDCon Phnom Penh
    • Fedora Magazine article, when the registration opens
      • pushing it to g+, fb and other channels
    • Fedora Magazine article, after the events with the results (metrics)
  • Remote help during sprints.
