== About me ==
== About me ==

I've been a contributor to the Fedora Project since September 2015 and work in various places of the community. I'm currently an undergraduate student at [https://www.rit.edu/ Rochester Institute of Technology], majoring in [http://nsa.rit.edu/ Networking and Systems Administration] and minoring in [http://foss.rit.edu Free and Open Source Software]. I began using Linux (and Fedora) in December 2013 – Fedora 20 was my first Linux distribution. I am passionate about free and open source software, which is why I love one of Fedora's four foundations: ''Freedom''.
I am a Fedora Project contributor since September 2015. I work(ed) across various parts of the community. I am finishing my [http://cit.rit.edu/ Networking and Systems Administration BS] with a double-minor in [https://www.rit.edu/gccis/igm/sites/rit.edu.gccis.igm/files/images/FOSS-MN%20Semesters.pdf Free and Open Source Software and Free Culture] and [https://www.rit.edu/liberalarts/department-womens-and-gender-studies#minors-and-immersions Women's and Gender Studies] (estimated Dec. 2019).

I'm generally idling somewhere on IRC around the clock (IRC: jwf), so if you see me, feel free to ping and say hi!

I've managed my own Minecraft server, [https://crystalcraftmc.com CrystalCraftMC] for the past five years. I am a former staff member of [https://www.spigotmc.org/ SpigotMC], a free and open source Minecraft server software. Before Fedora, I mostly worked in the Minecraft open source community.

At my university, I am the 2016-2018 president of the [http://ritlug.com/ RIT Linux Users Group]. I am involved with the [http://foss.rit.edu/ FOSS@MAGIC academic community] by helping [https://github.com/FOSSRIT promote open source] across my university. I'm also a member of the [http://wic.rit.edu/ RIT Women in Computing] program.

Outside of the US, I'm also a remote member of the [https://openlabs.cc/en/ Open Labs Hackerspace], a non-profit community hackerspace in Tirana, Albania promoting free and open source projects.

I'm also a coffee fanatic and a former barista. I support [http://www.ethicalcoffee.net/direct.html Direct Trade Coffee]!
