0. I'm working with the folks of [edusol.info] into development on an [http://is.gd/f5lA0 course of GNU/Linux for folks illiteracy on ICT]. It will be partially based on the ICDL currículum.

These contributions to the Linux course are absolutely worthy in order to reach more new users with Fedora, not just "newbies" in free software, but completely unprivileged by several types of discrimination, collectively named "Digital breach".

1. Reuse existing Fedora documentation as contributions to: [http://is.gd/f5lA0 Curso de introducción a gnu-linux "Instalar no es Suficiente"] for [http://edusol.info/es/e2010/difusion/texto Encuentro de Educación, Cultura y Software Libre 2010]

1. Also, I'm working with [[User:Duffy Máirín Duffy]] and [[User:Tatica Tatica]] (my mentor!) on translation and delivery of a course for kids about Inkscape.

2. I'll start soon to write a Fedora User Guide for:

TODO:

a) Thin clients (LXDE spin focused)

 +
b) People with no-knowledge on ICT (using Fedora as first OS).

2. If the Fedora documentation doesn't exists or lacks of requisite for the course (well illustrated, everything translated to spanish), i'd like to contribute to the official Documentation Project (or Translation, whatever applies)

This won't be based on the ICDL curriculum mainly, but exploring another ways of empowering people at ICT's, using innovative environments aimed to education, as Sugar. Too, the license for the Basic Linux course on edusol.info has a too restrictive license (NC) for Fedora, but i'm gaining experience on designing courses and working with people with no my same preferences at all.

I'm user of Fedora since a year ago, and Linux systems since 2006. I tried before with Knoppix and Ubuntu-derivatives, Gentoo and Ututo but Fedora has proven to be the most flexible, easy but powerful and stable i've tried so far. It runs on our netbooks, and the family desktop (a fairly old Pentium3 @133MHz with just 256 MB RAM)

Working with free culture communities The OpenSource way

0. I'm working with the folks of [edusol.info] into development on an course of GNU/Linux for folks illiteracy on ICT. It will be partially based on the ICDL currículum.

These contributions to the Linux course are absolutely worthy in order to reach more new users with Fedora, not just "newbies" in free software, but completely unprivileged by several types of discrimination, collectively named "Digital breach".

1. Also, I'm working with User:Duffy Máirín Duffy and User:Tatica Tatica (my mentor!) on translation and delivery of a course for kids about Inkscape.

2. I'll start soon to write a Fedora User Guide for:

a) Thin clients (LXDE spin focused)

b) People with no-knowledge on ICT (using Fedora as first OS).

About me

I'm user of Fedora since a year and a half ago, and Linux systems since 2006.

I work as mentor in a k12 school in a suburb of Mexico City, and i have experience with adult people and kids on social centres spreading freesoftware, you can read about that experience on Alfabetización Tic / Proyecto Fedora LATAM.
