General Info

  • I've graduated in Computer Science at PUC-MG in 2005 (Brazil) and I'm doing my Msc. Software Engineer degree at University of Oxford, England. I came to UK at end of 2005 and actually I'm working for a start-up company located in Reading since Oct/2007 which is creating a really cool product called Web Navigator. My position at IAT is QA Manager, Test Lead and Deployment & Configuration Manager. So, I'm really busy almost of the time. Before I've got to this position I was working as Senior Software Engineer for Arc Technology. I've been using Linux since 1998.
  • I still prefer work as a software engineer developer and also creating scripting and automation tasks. My preferred languages are:
    • C/C++
    • Python
  • For scripting and automation, Python, Bash scripts and Ant have been solving almost of the problems I face.

I have no problem with other languages and scripts like Java, Perl, SQL, Javascript. I'm just not using it so frequently as the languages cited above (apart from Javascript for AJAX technologies which I've been dealing for testing in a daily basis.)
