Fedora offers software for both GNOME and KDE environments to manage your finances. The DVD version of Fedora includes both financial software packages as part of the default software packages offered. The Fedora live-cd version lacks the financial software packages. Both financial software packages are available for easy download and installation with the Pirut Add/Remove Software utility or with commands through the console.
Gnucash is not installed by default from the live-cd or the DVD. However, you can choose to install Gnucash from the DVD. If you installed Fedora using the live-cd, install Gnucash by typing the following into the console:
su -c 'yum install gnucash'
To install using Pirut, click Applications > Add/Remove Software. When Pirut opens, select Applications > Office/Productivity, and then click the [Optional Packages] button. When the Packages window opens, scroll down and tick the box next to
gnucash, and then click the [Close] button. Finally, once you're finished selecting the packages you want to install, click the [Apply] button in Pirut.
After you install Gnucash, you can launch it by clicking Applications > Office > Gnucash Finance Management.

When Pirut opens, select Desktop Environments > KDE (K Desktop Environment), and then click the [Optional Packages] button. After the packages window opens, scroll down and tick the box next to
kmymoney2; then click the [Close] button. Once you're finished selecting the packages you want to install, click the [Apply] button in Pirut.
