[21:06] Keven_Kofler: hi [21:09] Hi! I see kdelibs4 and kdepimlibs4 finally made it into your repo. :-) [21:09] yep, haven't actually tried them myself yet. [21:10] made a small modification to add execute perms to libs so that -debuginfo gets created properly. [21:10] Else we ended up with main packages ~100MB. Not cool. (: [21:10] Oh, so that was the problem with debuginfo! Great that you figured that out. [21:10] You didn't try building kdebase4 yet, I assume? [21:10] cmake doesn't seem to make libs properly, yet. We'll have to sort out why that is. [21:11] I did all of them, kdelibs4, kdepimlibs4, kdebase4 [21:11] I don't see kdebase4 in the repo yet. [21:11] oops, I mock'd them in the wrong order, kdebase4 BR's kdepimlibs4. [21:12] I'll requeue the kdebase4 build asap. [21:13] OK [21:13] These are a good first pass at packaging... we can put more time into them after F7 release. [21:14] you subscribed or watch fedora-desktop list? Sebastian Vahl has volunteered to lead an effort to make a KDE livecd. [21:14] There's a strange KHTML bug which causes Konqueror 3.80.3 to crash when you start it without a URL to load (at least here) or KControl 3.80.3 (kcmshell works to open a specific tab), I haven't tracked that down yet, but I suspect a patch which went in right before the 3.80.3 snapshot. [21:14] But it doesn't seem to be fixed in the upstream SVN yet. [21:15] yeah, I remember you mentioning that bug. I'm sure it'll get sorted out eventually. [21:15] And full KDE 4 sessions don't work either according to both people who tried (I didn't), it may or may not be the same KHTML bug. [21:16] (Both Sebastian and Chitlesh had the full session crash on them within 10 seconds.) [21:16] I'd venture these are all interelated problems. [21:17] I already know the Konqueror and KControl bugs are related, the stacktraces are very similar. [21:17] Both in the same KHTML sources/classes. [21:18] fyi, I joined the kde4 release team, I'm mostly a lurker at this point. I'll help/contribute where/if I can. [21:18] if our "bug" doesn't get love soon, I may start poking people. (: [21:19] If we're seeing it, I'd venture everyone else is likely seeing it too. [21:19] (Both are in "khtml::RenderBlock::layoutBlock" and happen when an invalid khtml::RenderObject is called.) [21:19] I think so too, which is why I find it strange that there's no change to these files in the trunk, at least last I checked. [21:20] have you reported or asked anyone about it yet? [21:20] #kde-devel ? [21:21] I'll take it up with them. I was a bit busy this week. [21:21] np, no rush. [21:22] we're getting closer to the kde package stack being reviewed. [21:22] http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/FeatureFedoraKDE [21:22] One thing I'll have to fix in my packages is multilib support, right now /opt/kde4/lib isn't multilibbed at all. [21:23] So if you try to install both arches of kdelibs4-devel etc., you're in for conflicts. [21:23] rdieter: I'm reviewing kdebindings now. ;) [21:23] nirik: thanks! [21:23] if I could get mock to behave on my build machine. ;( [21:23] re: multilib'ing. bah, I think that's the least of our worries atm. (; [21:23] nirik: what? don't believe me that it builds? (: [21:24] oh I do... I just go thru a checklist, and need a freshly mockbuilt package to run thru the ginder. ;) [21:25] pkgs under review, not approved yet: kdeaddons, kdeartwork, kdebindings, kdenetwork [21:25] oh, and kde-setttings, but that can wait, http://bugzilla.redhat.com/227241 [21:26] And kdegraphics too. [21:27] arg, I think you're right. [21:28] as far as I'm concerned, any of you interested in finishing the not-yet-approved reviews, go right ahead. [21:29] I had been hoped to proudly report at tomorrows board meeting that kde reviews were all completed. ): [21:30] I'll keep grinding away, maybe even guilt than into doing a review or 2 (since I can't review my own submissions) [21:32] and I've been chatting with f13, picking his brain wrt pungi and package manifests... [21:32] looks like newer pungi's will make our lives much easier, taking comps-style input. [21:33] otherwise, we'd end up doing both comps (for default package installs) + package manifest (what is included in the spin) [21:33] still need to work out the details exactly how we want comps to work, but it looks like we'll simply be modifying the kde-desktop group, [21:34] to include type=default items. [21:34] see comps/comps-fe7.xml in Extras' cvs. [21:35] [Notify] |DrJef| is online (irc.freenode.org). [21:35] well, that's about all the juicy stuff I had, any other topics? [21:38] Otherwise, I'll close the meeting in 60... [21:38] 30... [21:39] kde sig meeting closed, thanks everyone.
