GNOME

Press alt+f2 and type "free the fish" as the command without quotes. You will see a fish swimming around in your desktop. To stop the fish, run pkill gnome-panel. The panel will automatically start again without the fish.

In the same way, you can also run "gegls from outer space" as the command, again without quotes, for a Space Invaders-like game.

Vim

Run vi on the command line

help 42

OpenOffice.org

  1. csh
