The most important requirement in order to implement this feature is packaging cdrskin which is already done. Basically all that's left is to install it by default and either change the disk recording applications' preset burning executable to cdrskin or – even easier – create symlinks to 'cdrecord' and 'wodim'.

Detailed Description

The libBurnia project is a project to develop disk recording back-ends. It supports CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray disks.

Note: The Trac-based bug tracker is closed due spam. Bugs marked Open there usually fixed by now.

Benefit to Fedora

Fedora will benefit from finally having an actually supported disk recording back-end that receives more than just superficial bugfixes.
