Emmanuel Tomasa is from the Philippines and professionally working as Manager for Archival and Media Systems Engineering in one of the prime broadcasting company in his country, the TV5 Network Incorporated. He took up Electronics Communication Technology From Rizal Technological University. He then finished Computer Technology from International Center for Computer Sciences and eventually finished Total Linux Training from the premier Open source Training Center in the Philippines, the Bluepoint Institute of Higher Technology Foundation Inc.
His focus lies in managing a robust technical support team and overseeing a critical infrastructure that supports media preservation, storage, and accessibility. His goal is to ensure the secure retention and timely retrieval of high-quality broadcast content, guided by a compliant and sustainable infrastructure approach.
He is responsible for the seamless operation and integration of key systems—DataDirect Networks (DDN) as the central storage, Spectra BlackPearl as the Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) layer, and the Spectra Robotic Tape Library as the deep archive. These components work together to support the unique demands of broadcast workflows and long-term asset retention.
He also supports AI-driven closed captioning workflows and media data casting. By maintaining a stable, secure, and well-coordinated environment, he helps ensure the smooth and reliable flow of media assets across the network.
