I’m a father and a mechanical engineering instructor with a long-standing interest in open-source technologies. I have been a Linux user since the early 2000s, and over the years I’ve developed a strong preference for free and open-source tools in both my professional and personal projects.
My background in mechanical engineering naturally led me to CAD and digital fabrication. I regularly use FreeCAD and OpenSCAD for modeling, and I have been involved in 3D printing for several years, creating both practical parts and experimental designs.
I enjoy learning new tools, improving workflows, and sharing knowledge with others. I’m especially interested in using open-source software in education, where it can give students accessible and transparent tools for engineering and creative work.
