Hi, I'm Gent Thaçi, I am 16 years old and I live in Prishtina, Kosovo. I am a High School student at Don Bosco Technical Lyceum here in Prishtina.
I am Gent from Kosovo, a new-born country in South-Eastern Europe. I am currently doing an exchange program in Huntsville, Alabama.


My first experience with GNU/Linux operating system was in 2009 at a GNU/Linux course organized by James Michael DuPont which is the founder of a non-profit here called [http://flossk.org FLOSSK], where I am also a member. I am one of the organisers of [http://kosovasoftwarefreedom.org Software Freedom Kosova] an annual F/LOSS Conference.
My first experience with GNU/Linux was in early 2009 at a GNU/Linux course organized by [http://flossk.org FLOSSK], back than I started to use Ubuntu then I switched to Fedora in early 2010 and on the 13th of October, 2010 I was sponsored as an official Ambassador, mentored by [[User:Biertie|Bert Desmet]] and supported by [[User:Robert|Robert Scheck]]. I co-organized many local events and participated in international events, I was sponsored by Fedora whom I am very thankful for giving me the chance to travel abroad, meet fellow contributors, learn new things, share ideas etc.
 
Since I got into F/LOSS, I always heard about Fedora and always wanted to know more about it. I installed the distribution of Fedora on my computer on May 2010 and on October 2010 I've became an official Ambassador, mentored by [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Biertie Bert Desmet].
