Description

This test case covers the Installation and Removal of Software features of GNOME Software.

Setup

  • Ensure that GNOME Software is installed, and launch it.

How to test

  1. Try to search and install your favourite application
  2. Try to list your application using the search
  3. Ensure the application must have a "tick" sign, if they are locally installed
  4. Click on the app icon and click the trash icon

Expected Results

  1. You should be able to search for, and install it correctly.
  2. Software listings should render correctly and results should be valid.
  3. You should be able to query the local software DB with rpm -qa <package_name> and Gnome software
  4. Results of the above step shouldn't be inconsistent
  5. Rebooting the system should work fine
