Description

This test cases covers update notification by Gnome Software

Setup

  • Ensure that GNOME Software is installed, and launch it.

How to test

  1. Gnome Software's Top right corner has Update Preference
  2. Select the option you are comfortable with
  3. Test if the updates notification is being delivered
  4. Try putting yourself on DND mode and check if the notification still pops
  5. Try downgrading a package and checking if the Gnome Software automatically downloads or prompts

Expected Results

  1. You should be able to search do all the above options successfully
  2. The user update notification mechanism shouldn't be violated
