=== Fedora 14 Release Notes Draft Available ===
=== Autotranslate Feature Disabled for Fedora Modules on Transifex ===

[[User:Jjmcd | John J. McDonough]] announced the availablity of the Draft version of the Fedora 14 Release Notes<ref>http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/trans/2010-September/007993.html</ref>. The POT files for the translation team would be regenerated nightly.
The Autotranslate feature on transifex.net has been disabled for Fedora modules in view of a possible conflict with the Terms of Usage of the Google Translated API that was being used for the feature<ref>http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/legal/2011-May/001621.html</ref>.

Due to a bug present in the currently available version of Publican (2.1) which affects generation and updation of POT and PO files, the POT files were generated using the new version of Publican, which is not yet available in the Fedora Repos. Translators have also been requested to report the presence of the apostrophe and quotes conversion signs in any documents<ref>http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/trans/2010-September/007997.html</ref>.

=== Proposed Process to Make Non-English Documentation Available for Translation ===
=== Fedora Documentation and Websites missing for F15 ===

The Spanish Translation team has been working with the Fedora Documentation team to prepare a process to make documents written in languages other than English to be available for translation<ref>http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/trans/2010-September/007951.html</ref>. The need for the process arose when the Spanish team put forward a proposal to make available a document originally written in Spanish for the Fedora Documentation Project in English. The suggestions all indicate that generation of English POT files would be essential to allow other language teams to translate these documents to their language.
A number of Fedora Documentation modules<ref>http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/trans/2011-May/008971.html</ref> and Fedora Websites<ref>http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/trans/2011-May/008990.html</ref> modules were not available for translation for Fedora 15 as they could not be migrated to transifex.net before the release. However, translation can be continued for some of these modules which are being gradually migrated by the writers to transifex.net.

This section covers the news surrounding the Fedora Translation (L10n) Project[1].

Contributing Writer: Runa Bhattacharjee

Translation Credit Loss Problem Resolved

A major issue related to the loss[1] of Translator Credits in modules submitted via transifex.net has been resolved by the Transifex development team[2]. The problem had also been escalated to the Fedora Legal team[3][4].

Autotranslate Feature Disabled for Fedora Modules on Transifex

The Autotranslate feature on transifex.net has been disabled for Fedora modules in view of a possible conflict with the Terms of Usage of the Google Translated API that was being used for the feature[1].

FPCA Signing on Transifex.net

All participants to the Fedora Localization Project are required to sign[1] the Fedora Project Contributor Agreement (FPCA) at https://www.transifex.net/projects/p/fedora/cla/ in addition to signing it on the Fedora Account System[2]

The last date to sign the FPCA is June 17th 2011

Fedora Documentation and Websites missing for F15

A number of Fedora Documentation modules[1] and Fedora Websites[2] modules were not available for translation for Fedora 15 as they could not be migrated to transifex.net before the release. However, translation can be continued for some of these modules which are being gradually migrated by the writers to transifex.net.
