IRC Logs

12:05 <tibbs> So, FPC meeting?
[12:05] * spot is here
[12:06] <rdieter> here
[12:07] * spot counts 4 heads
[12:07] <scop> well, for example fontforge upstream applied my patch, but also made it try firefox *before* xdg-open :P
[12:07] <tibbs> Well, the Eggos proposal was approved by FESCo.
[12:07] <rdieter> abadger1999, f13, lutter?
[12:08] <abadger1999> Hey
[12:08] <rdieter> 5!
[12:08] <spot> f13 might still be at lunch. we were in a shared meeting before this that ran long
[12:08] <spot> ok, thats 5.
[12:09] <spot> i have nothing for today's agenda, other than to note that the tex naming scheme passed vote on the mailing list
[12:09] <f13> I'm here.
[12:09] <tibbs> There was one +1 vote last week on IRC from Rex, but we didn't want to push that to FESCo without your assent.
[12:09] * spot nods
[12:10] <spot> lets go ahead and push it to FESCo
[12:10] <lutter> rdieter: present
[12:10] <tibbs> Is there a proposal in the wiki or should I just link to the original mailing list post?
[12:11] <spot> linking to the post is fine.
[12:12] <spot> ok, are there any other items for discussion today? (if not, please say no)
[12:12] <tibbs> Nothing from me.
[12:12] <f13> no
[12:12] <rdieter> http://bugzilla.redhat.com/315221 , just quick-n-dirty comment.
[12:12] <abadger1999> nothing here
[12:12] <tibbs> Honestly our job has mostly wound down; perhaps we should consider meeting less often.
[12:13]  <scop> tibbs++
[12:13] <spot> sure.
[12:13] <spot> lets move to biweekly
[12:13] <rdieter> biweekly +1
[12:13] <scop> works for me
[12:14] <abadger1999> rdieter: I'd +1 Bug # 315221 that but will that help? We've already voted on it once....
[12:14] <rdieter> this Name/GenericName thing is drawing out, without much/any comment/movement from gnome-desktop folks.
[12:14] <abadger1999> biweekly is fine.
[12:14] <tibbs> +1 but we should keep the option to meet more often if necessary.
[12:14] <spot> sure.
[12:14] <rdieter> abadger1999: *shrug*, I don't know what else to do.
[12:14] <lutter> biweekly sounds good
[12:15] <spot> i think the Name/GenericName is something that we'll have to sit down and tackle at a FUDCon
[12:15] <spot> with the gnome desktop folks
[12:15] <rdieter> other than being a prick and forcing their hand in f-9 timeframe via FESCO or wild .desktop names in kde spin to make sh*t happen.
[12:16] <rdieter> spot: you're probably right.
[12:16] <rdieter> ok, that's all afaic.
[12:16] <spot> ok, i think thats it for today then.
[12:17] <spot> thanks everyone. :)
[12:17] <tibbs> So the next meeting is in two weeks, correct?
[12:17] <spot> yes.
[12:18] <f13> yay
[12:18] <tibbs> October 16 it is.
[12:18] <f13> (cause I would have missed next week)
