Description

Gnome Software makes installing software easy. It is distro independent and works with idea of "applications" rather than with "packages".

Setup

  • Ensure that Gnome Software is installed.

How to test

  1. Try to search and install your favorite application get info and launch it
  2. Try to remove it.
  3. Try to list All/Installed packages.
  4. Try some "Picks" or other categories
  5. Try updates (you need to install some older version of application from koji)
  6. Try Software Sources

Expected Results

  1. You should be able to search for, install and launch correctly.
  2. You should be able to remove it again
  3. Software listings should render correctly and results should be valid
  4. Picks should work as well
  5. Update of older package should be listed and update should be performed
  6. Software sources should be available
