Description

This test case is to check that characters/fonts are correctly displayed and translated in applications. If the application should be able to 'speak' foreign languages (English is the mother tongue here), try a few of them, this involves output, prompts, menu items and window contents (GUI applications only).

How to test

  1. Launch system-config-language by terminal or click system->language from desktop.
  2. Select a language for system and restart.
  3. Run an application which should be able to 'speak' foreign languages.
  4. Check the fonts/rendering/characters in the applications such as output, prompts, menu items and window contents.
  5. Examine also encoding sanity in man pages.

Expected Results

  1. System reboot successfully to the selected language.
  2. Characters/Rendering are displayed properly in the application.
