= Release Announcement Talking Points =

These are more and less than the [[F7ReleaseSummary| release summary]] .  The release summary is a long list of everything one might want to know at a glance.  In contrast, the talking points are a list of items we want to be sure are discussed as specific highlights of the release or the project in general.

The goal is to give enough information to write two or three short paragraphs.  These are followed by all the torrent information, etc.

== The Talking Points ==

Talking point selection works like this:

* Only the top three talking points are required, fit in as many as you can
* We can go up to five required, if they are short, sweet, and good
* Anything beyond that is too long, but judge yourself in your announcement
* We'll add points and move the order around until a good set arrives

=== Mandatory Content ===

According to what was in the [http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-announce-list/2006-October/msg00008.html FC-6 announcement] , there is nothing mandatory.  Cool.

=== Please Mention Somewhere ===

1. If you are upgrading your Fedora install, do yourself a favor and read the release notes. Changes, such as the need for file system labels, can have a major impact on your upgrade experience.
