Implementing a caching root FS requires a reinstall for sure, because caching requires its own superblock on disks/volumes!

This is only true for *bcache*. *dm-cache* can be added to existing filesystems and removed without reformat. --Ttorcz (talk) 14:58, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
