Replacing Pidgin with Empathy

I'm a bit wary of replacing Pidgin with Empathy. Some notes:

  • Empathy/Telepathy do not natively support AIM or Yahoo.
  • Empathy cannot currently send/receive files. Will this be fixed by release time?
    • I don't believe it will, since if I remember correctly the spec for file transfers is still being worked on - Brian
