About

I am Gent from Kosovo, a new-born country in South-Eastern Europe. I am currently doing an exchange program in Huntsville, Alabama.

My first experience with GNU/Linux was in early 2009 at a GNU/Linux course organized by FLOSSK, back than I started to use Ubuntu then I switched to Fedora in early 2010 and on the 13th of October, 2010 I was sponsored as an official Ambassador, mentored by Bert Desmet and supported by Robert Scheck. I co-organized many local events and participated in international events, I was sponsored by Fedora whom I am very thankful for giving me the chance to travel abroad, meet fellow contributors, learn new things, share ideas etc.

-My first experience with GNU/Linux systems was 2 years ago at a free local course about Introduction to Linux organized by James Michael DuPont which is the founder of a non-profit here called [http://flossk.org FLOSSK], I am a active member there and since the beginning of it. I am on of the organisers of [http://kosovasoftwarefreedom.org Software Freedom Kosova] an annual F/LOSS Conference. As a flosskie I presented and promoted all around my country about Linux and Free/Open Source Software. I did a big contribution of working,translating on OpenStreetMap,OLPC/Sugar etc. Personally started using as a full operating system Fedora less than a year ago.
