Linux Hardware report

Installation

Fedora supports secure boot enabled by default in the laptop so the process is streamlined. Dual boot with the pre-installed Windows 11 is simple by preserving the /boot/efi partition which includes the Dell SmartAssist to access UEFI. Fedora 39 allows the optional systemd-boot instead of GRUB2 for more minimalistic bootloader.

Touchscreen & Stylus

As tested on Fedora Linux 39 Design Suite, both touch screen and stylus input work out of box.

Orientation Sensors

This model has an AMD Fusion Sensor Hub listed as 04:00.7 Signal processing controller [1180]: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] Sensor Fusion Hub [1022:15e4] from lspci -nn output. The driver landed on Linux kernel 5.6.11 and received improvement on kernel 5.12 series.

Storage

This model comes with a 512 GB, M.2, PCIe NVMe, SSD storage upgradeable.

Miscellaneous

This model comes with fingerprint authentication on top of power button fully supported out box. Suspend/Resume works smoothly.
