Xorg

Xorg

X.org X11 is an open source implementation of the X Window System. It provides the basic low level functionality which full fledged graphical user interfaces (GUIs) such as GNOME and KDE are designed upon.

Modular X.Org X11R7 RC2 was released into Fedora development (rawhide) on November 16, 2005. The new modular release model of Xorg enables users to receive updates at a faster pace, and helps developers to develop and release specific components in a rapid fashion.

FC5 includes Xorg 7.0 with minor updates.

Rawhide currently includes RC1 of Xorg 7.1.
