I am a sophomore CS student at Appalachian State University where I participate in the ALUG (Appstate Linux Users Group) and the ACM Appstate student chapter. I am not a Linux wiz by any means but have a never faltering tenacity to learn more about linux every day. I have been dabbling with fedora (among other distros) since before fedora core 1 and before ubuntu even was created. That said, I have done many installs and gotten many friends to use Linux at least as a double boot.

I hope to widen the use of Linux among my fellow students here at App State by getting discs in people's hands, helping people install and even maintain their install of Fedora. I feel that most students are brainwashed to believe that they either have to use windows or spend hours in the command line.
