Description

This test validates that the syslinux [1] (or isolinux) boot menu option Boot from local drive performs properly. This test works best when run on a system with an operating system already installed. For more information, consult the 'The Boot Menu' section of the Installation Guide.

Setup

  1. Boot the ISO image under test (typically a DVD.iso, boot.iso or Live.iso image)

How to test

  1. At the boot prompt, select the menu option Boot from local drive (it might be hidden under Troubleshooting menu).

Expected Results

  1. Graphical boot menu(isolinux or syslinux) is displayed for users to select install options.
  2. Upon selecting Boot from local drive, anaconda does not start. If an operating system is already installed on the system under test, that operating system is started.
