About me

Hi, I am Rajan Vaish from India. I have been serving as Fedora Project Ambassador since Summer 2008.During this time I have been promoting Fedora Project and motivating/teaching people to use Fedora at schools and work. I served as lead member of Linux User Group at Jaypee University of Information Technology,Solan,India and have given a talk at Winter Academic Program 2008 at JIITU, Noida, India.
Being part of open source community, I have been closely associated with organizations like One Laptop per Child (OLPC) and OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSM) since 2008, and have tried promoting Fedora Project.

  • 2008 - OLPC intern (worked on XO laptops running over Fedora).
  • 2009 - OSM intern under Google Summer of Code (worked on an accessible platform independent application).
  • 2010 - OSM co-admin for Google Summer of Code (encouraging development over Fedora).
  • 2010 - OSM mentor for an accessible project under OSM (encouraging development over Fedora).

I love being part of Fedora Ambassadors Program and will always try to contribute in anyway I can.Thanks.
