From Fedora Project Wiki

I switched from Windows to another Linux distro early this year. When I distro-hopped to Heisenbug about two months ago, I expected it to be a temporary experiment. However, I found I love the principles the Fedora Project upholds and the speed with which Fedora adopts innovation. I think a great community has created a great operating system.

As a student at an American university, I was originally worried about the difficulties of integrating with a computing environment that is heavily dominated by Windows. However, Fedora works like a charm in that respect. In fact, the only side effect has been quizzical looks I get in libraries and cafes on campus. Several times already, I've had the opportunity to explain what Fedora is and how I use it to interested people who ask me "What version of Windows is that?"

My coding skills are very basic, but I hope to one day program for the OS. For now, I want to become an Ambassador because I love talking to people about the possibilities that using Fedora has opened for me. While I'm not a GNOME 3 fan, I've fallen in love with XFCE on Fedora. Many people commenting about their Linux experience say things like, "I've tried a lot of distros, but I always end up back with Fedora." I really feel like Fedora is the home I can always come back to, no matter how far I may roam. (The less said about my attempts to use Arch, the better.:)
