--McD 140203 -- although my initial reaction was to travel by air (Raleigh is a long drive and travel up here is still risky in March), it occured to me thatif driving, I might swing by and pick up N3LRX, one of the major contributors to amateur radio packages. On the other hand, looking at needs like Chirp, grig and even spice, there is a lot to be said for having radios/interfaces/solering stuff around when doing much of the documentation. Operating remotely does mean I miss out on the beer, but it might be more effective. Still noodling.
